🍃 My Animal Crossing: New Horizons Daily Checklist

I’m over 130 hours into my first ever Animal Crossing game, and it’s safe to say I’m a little obsessed. I’ve got a review coming up soon on the blog, but I wanted to share my daily checklist since I’ve found it helpful in making sure I don’t miss out on anything I want to do each day. I typically take care of the essential tasks in the morning while I’m having my coffee, and then check back in at night for turnip prices and recipes. If I have extra time to play that day, I check off some of the optional tasks, terraform or work on my island decor at night so I can try to stargaze!

Essential Tasks

• Search for visitors to the island

• Talk to my favorite villagers

• Check into the Nook Stop

• Check Recycling Bin

• Check turnip prices (AM/PM)

• Check inventory at shops

  • Nook Shopping

  • Nook’s Cranny

  • Able Sisters

• Dig up fossils; donate missing ones to museum

• Harvest non-native fruit from the orchard

• Pick up message in a bottle from the beach

• Harvest money tree; replace with new money tree sprout

• Check villager houses for crafting recipes (AM/PM)

• Deposit all bells over 10K into bank

• Clean up inventory before saving

  • Store unused decor, clothing and excess craft materials

  • Sell or store fish, bugs & shells

Optional Tasks

• Craft & sell hot items

• Complete Nook Miles+ tasks

• Shake trees for furniture

• Search for money rock
